Fall has officially kicked off with rain season in full force.
Remember as kid you have the urge to stomp on puddles? Well please don’t do the same with your Model 3. Many drivers are reporting their bumper was stripped from their car when water is allowed to accumulate inside it!

For all those who purchased their model 3 after May 2019 you are most likely not going to experience your bumper flying off.

Tesla acknowledges the flaw and have since corrected the design on model 3’s produced after May 2019.

“In rare instances, certain components on Model 3 vehicles built at the Fremont Factory before May 21, 2019, might be damaged when driving through standing water on a road or highway with poor drainage or pooling water. In these rare instances, the rear fascia might detach from the vehicle and harnesses and/or body fasteners/mounts might also be damaged. This document clarifies that damage caused during these instances is covered under warranty.”

The question now is…will the Y’s experience the same problem?

Future is now?

Unlike the Model S or Model X, the Model 3 has almost all of it’s controls on the screen. After all it wouldn’t be a Tesla with out it’s iconic touch screen console.

The  controls for the heated windshields, heated seats and climate are all permanently displayed at the foot of the screen. When driving, your speed is permanently displayed in the top-left corner, putting it as close as possible to the driver’s line-of-sight.

You will soon begin to appreciate the company of a passenger when you want to adjust your mirrors or turn the wipers on while you drive 120KM/H. It might be challenging at first to navigate through the center console while keeping your eyes on the road.

Amazon is already selling screen protectors for your 15″ touch screen. It’s a great idea considering how much you’ll need to use it on a daily basis.
